In 2024, the St. Charles City-County Library Foundation partnered with the City of St. Peters to bring outdoor entertainment to the community.
The events, hosted at 370 Lakeside Park, welcomed over 3,500 community members to enjoy nights filled with music and theatre. The summer kicked off with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, who concluded their performance with orchestra and audience members playing Beethoven’s Ode to Joy together. At the end of summer, the Foundation and City brought actors from the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival to perform The Tempest for community members.
Large-scale programs funded by the Library Foundation are essential for fostering community connections and providing opportunities that the library’s budget alone cannot support. These programs bring people together through shared experiences like cultural events, educational workshops, and interactive performances. They enrich the community by offering access to unique resources, lifelong learning opportunities, and memorable experiences that promote collaboration, inclusion, and a sense of belonging. The Library Foundation helps ensure equitable access to impactful programs that strengthen the entire community by supporting these initiatives.
Stay tuned for future events sponsored by the Foundation!
