Born to Read
The St. Charles City-County Library has joined together with St. Louis County and St. Louis Public Library to provide hospitals with welcome bags for newborns and their families.
Each bag contains a board book, an information card with a variety of ways to build literacy skills from birth, and a special Born to Read Library card.
Families are encouraged to activate the new Born to Read Library card at their nearest branch.
This is a Library to You Service provided by the Library's Outreach team and made possible by the generous support of the St. Charles City-County Library Foundation.

Diapers are available while supplies last.
In tandem with our Diaper Bank Distribution through the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank, the Library will begin distributing period products to those in need on a first-come, first-served basis. These products are available during the hours shown above.
- The Period Supply Program started in 2020 and provides monthly period kits with period education and a love note to people who menstruate in schools, shelters, food pantries, and health care centers.
This initiative was made possible by the Friends of the St. Charles City-County Library and the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank.
