Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the library. We are committed to find meaningful ways for the community to serve with us, and we look forward to finding a great way for you to volunteer with the library. There currently are three ways for you to volunteer: 

1) In your local branch
2) With the Library Foundation
3) With the Friends of the Library.

You must be at least 12 years old to volunteer with the library district.

If you're ready to volunteer:

Adults, please download and complete this application and return it to any branch location, send an email attachment to volunteer@stchlibrary.org, or mail to 77 Boone Hills Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376, Attention: Volunteer and Training Specialist.


Once applications are received, the library will review and select those whose interests and availability meet our current needs. Upon acceptance, all volunteers 18 years and older will be required to submit a background check, paid for by the Library.

Library Foundation Event Volunteer

To volunteer at an event for the Library Foundation, simply contact us directly. We welcome volunteers who are passionate about supporting the Library’s mission. We’ll provide you with information on upcoming events and how you can get involved. Whether helping with setup, assisting attendees, or sharing information about our programs, your support makes a difference!

2025 Summer Challenge Teen Volunteers

Apply for an opportunity to become a Summer Challenge Volunteer for the Library. Summer Challenge runs June 2, 2025 - August 9, 2025.  

You will assist in-person at one of your preferred branches by engaging with patrons to promote the Summer Reading Challenge, staffing a Summer Challenge table and assisting patrons with signing up for Summer Challenge through the online software, answering questions pertaining to Summer Challenge, handing out completion prizes and more.

Be a part of the decision-making process at the Library. Help plan programs, give book recommendations, and promote the library. Attendees can receive an hour of volunteer credit for attending (plus any extra participation you put in outside of meetings).
