Every year the St. Charles City-County Library partners with local tax professionals to provide free tax services to local residents. Last year this program fulfilled 2100 tax appointments.

These services are available to area residents with an income under $70,000 who file a simple return by appointment. Tax professionals are available to assist filers at six locations, including Corporate Parkway, Kathryn Linnemann, Kisker Road, McClay, Spencer Road, and WingHaven® Branches.

“We are committed to empowering our residents by providing essential resources, and our free tax services are a vital part of that mission. With the help of our partners, we offer trusted assistance for individuals and families to navigate tax season with confidence,” said Interim CEO, Tiffany Barke.

Appointments can be made by visiting our website or by calling one of our Library branches

The Library partners with the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), Tax Assistance Program (TAP), and Gateway EITC Community Coalition.
